Discover with us El Caminito del Rey, one of the most popular tourist visits in Andalusia in recent years. Walking along the paths along the walls of the gorge is really impressive. A journey in a unique natural environment through an impressive path that crosses the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes in the province of Malaga. 

The name of El Caminito del Rey dates back to 1921 when King Alfonso XIII crossed the path, after the Conde de Guadalhorce dam or reservoir was inaugurated, a route protected by the Sociedad Hidroeléctrico del Chorro. The passage of time and its disuse caused it to deteriorate to a great extent and it became the most dangerous path in Europe, causing several victims.

After a magnificent restoration work, the Caminito del Rey was reopened in 2015 and is now perfectly passable without any risk, with a part of it built taking advantage of what was built at the El Chorro station.

The route runs between the Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoir and the village of El Chorro. It is a walk parallel to the railway tracks where you can walk and enjoy the famous route of the Gaitanes Gorge and the Gaitanejo, with areas with a width of just 1 metre.

The group will start from the municipality of Ardales and finish in the municipality of Álora. The route will take approximately two and a half hours to complete and will be full of emotions and surprises.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water for the tour due to its duration. 

We recommend bringing umbrellas in case of rain.

If you cancel at least 7 calendar days in advance, no cancellation fee will apply.

If you cancel between 3 and 6 calendar days before, a cancellation fee of 50% will be applied.

If you cancel within the previous 2 calendar days, a 100% cancellation fee will be applied.

Monument, attraction, theatre, show or coupon tickets are not refundable under any circumstances.

Tour or activity starting during a period of special events, including but not limited to trade fairs, national holidays or national celebrations, school holidays, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Ramadan: are not refundable under any circumstances.
