Chiado is one of the most typical neighbourhoods of Lisbon. An old commercial area, a meeting point for artists, poets and the perfect place to take a pleasant walk or have a quality coffee in one of its thousands of terraces.
Almost completely destroyed by the earthquake of 1755 and the fire of 1988, Chiado is today the most cosmopolitan and busiest area of the Portuguese capital.
Discover the Bairro Alto and the origins of one of the oldest areas of the city, now famous for its nightlife.
We will also talk about a peculiar area called Bica, which has grown up adapting to the hills with a labyrinth of little streets and steep staircases which gives it a unique personality.Volver
